Jordan is wanted by Sex Assault detectives for sexually assaulting a young woman during the early morning hours of September 28, 2002. The incident occurred at an apartment in the Oakland area. The victim, a 24-year-old female, was at a party located in the 300 block of Meyran Avenue, which is not far from the Pitt campus. The party was attended by a number of young adults and continued well into the night before ending. The victim eventually fell asleep on a couch in the apartment and was awakened by the presence of a man on top of her. The victim realized this man had pulled down the victim's clothing and was having sexual intercourse with the victim. The victim pushed the man off her and demanded to know who he was. The suspect put his clothes back on and left the apartment. The victim then called police and reported the incident. Zone patrol officers responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital for an investigative examination. Detectives interviewed everyone at the scene and were able to track leads and identify the suspect as 26-year-old Marvin Jordan. Jordan is originally from the Monessen area in Westmoreland County. He had recently stayed at an address on McCandless Street in Lawrenceville but attempts to locate him there have been unsuccessful. Detectives believe he may be back in the Monessen area and describe him as being approximately 6' tall, thin to medium build with short black hair and brown eyes. February 19, 2003 Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers and Major Crimes are seeking information on the recent shooting of a woman in her Oberlin Street home. The shooting occurred on February 13th, 2003 at approximately 3:00 a.m. The 29-year-old female victim was asleep in the front first floor bedroom of her residence located in the 1500 block of Oberlin Street. An unknown assailant came onto hte front porch of the residence and fired multiple shots through the bedroom window and the curtains covering them. The victim was struck several times by the gunfire but was able to reach a telephone and dial 9-1-1, requesting emergency assistance. Police and Paramedics responded to the scene and rushed the victim to the hospital where she received treatment and has survived the gunshot injuries. The victim's two-year-old son was sleeping in the same bed but was not struck by the gunfire. Investigators have interviewed the victim and are following up leads and information provided by her. They have also canvassed the area and spoken with a number of local residents. February 5, 2003 Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers is seeking information on a robbery of Citizen's Bank located at 1101 Brownsville Road in Carrick. The robbery occurred at 11:25 a.m. on Monday, January 27th, 2003. A lone white male suspect wearing a blue bandana wrapped around his face entered the bank and approached one of the teller stations. The suspect put a white plastic grocery bag on the counter and ordered the teller "Put your money in this." When the teller hesitated, the robber repeated the demand and added, "I have a gun." The robber then put his right hand into his coat pocket as if it contained a gun but the robber never displayed a weapon. The teller put the money on the counter, which the robber took and put into the bag before fleeing the bank and running away onto Wynoka Street. The bank surveillance camera filmed the robbery. The suspect is described as a pale-complected WM, 35-45 YOA, 5'10"-6' tall, thin to medium build, with long dark hair protruding out from under a black Steelers baseball-type cap. He was also wearing a dark-colored 3/4 length hooded jacket/parka, faded blue jeans, brown work boots and sunglasses. Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers is seeking information on the robbery of G&K Groceries located at 5482 Penn Avenue in Garfield. The robbery occurred December 12th, 2002 at approx. 1:30 PM. An unknown male suspect enters and walks past the counter towards the rear of the store. He looks around, sees he is the only customer in the store, then approaches the counter and asks to purchase a cigar/blunt. The clerk puts the cigar on the counter and the suspect pulls out a small dark colored semi-auto handgun, points it at the clerk and demands money. The clerk fumbles attempting to open the register prompting the robber to continue yelling for the money. The clerk finally opens the register and hands the money to the robber who then attempts to climb over the counter, demanding more money. The clerk pushes the suspect, back off the counter and hits him with a stool where the robber then runs out of the store. The entire robbery was filmed on the store's surveillance camera. It shows the suspect as a BM in his 20's, approx. 6' tall, with a medium build and a mustache or goatee. Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers and investigators of the Homicide Squad are seeking information on the September 15th, 2002 murder of 18-year-old KEVIN SNOW. Kevin Snow was fatally shot and killed outside the front of his residence located in the 7100 block of Jonathan Street. The shooting occurred shortly after 10:00 AM as the victim was returning home from a Hamilton Avenue grocery store. The victim's mother reported hearing multiple gunshots and the victim coming into their residence, saying he had been shot and then collapsing to the floor. The victim's mother called 911 for assistance. Paramedics transported Kevin Snow to the hospital where he died later that day from multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators are uncertain of the motive and don’t believe the shooting was drug or gang related. There’s no evidence the victim was involved in any illegal activity and the shooting may be a case of mistaken identity. An unknown male suspect entered the store and approached the clerk and demanded the money from the cash register. When the clerk hesitated the suspect reached over the counter, grabbed the cash drawer and attempted to run out the front door. A second store employee was outside in front of the store and confronted the robber as he came outside. They struggled and the suspect dropped the cash drawer and lost his coat before running towards Bayard Street empty-handed. No weapon was seen at any time during the robbery. The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, 5’8”-11”s tall, husky or stocky build with a beard. Hall is wanted by Zone Four detectives for shooting a man in the Greenway/Crafton Heights section of the City on October 23, 2002. The incident occurred in the 800 block of Woodlow Street at approx. 5:00 PM. The 18-year-old victim was confronted by Hall about a previous shooting and was then shot in the lower back by Hall. The victim was able to seek assistance at a nearby home where the occupants phoned 9-1-1. Paramedics responded and transported the victim to the hospital where he was treated for the non-fatal gunshot wound. Investigators believe this was a retaliatory shooting related to the October 13th murder of two men in the Esplen area. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Lecky Avenue. The victim, a 31-year-old male was working on a car in the alley when a male the victim had seen in the area on previous occasions approached him. The male attempted to sell the victim heroin. The victim told the male he wasn't interested. The male persisted which led to a verbal confrontation between the victim and the male suspect. The suspect eventually left the area but returned approx. 45 minutes later again trying to sell the victim packets of heroin. The victim again told the suspect he didn't want any heroin and to leave him alone. The suspect then threatened the victim saying "I'll put some hot lead in you." The victim yelled at the suspect to get away from him and the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim one time. The victim stood there in a dazed state when the suspect fired a second shot, striking the victim in the stomach. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect fled the area on foot. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he survived but was admitted in critical condition. The victim, 63- year-old Leonard FEIGEL was shot around 5:00 AM while he was delivering the daily newspaper in the Friendship area. The victim and his wife were driving their normal route and routine in the 400 block of S. Evaline Street when an unknown male subject approached them. The unknown male walked up to the victim's vehicle, opened the driver's door and pulled the victim from behind the steering wheel. The victim struggled with the suspect and was shot one time by the suspect. The victim's wife, witnessing the assault, got behind the wheel and attempted to hit the suspect with their vehicle. The suspect fired two additional shots at their vehicle and then ran from the area. The victim's wife ran to the nearest home, rang the doorbell while yelling for help and then ran to her husband who was bleeding in the street. Nearby residents then came outside to assist until Police and Paramedic Units arrived. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he died later that day. Investigators have developed a composite sketch of the suspect who is described as a Black Male in his late 20's to early 30's, approx. 6' tall with a medium build and a dark complexion. It is believed the suspect ran to nearby parked vehicle, possibly a dark-colored foreign model about the size of a Honda Accord and then fled the area. Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers is seeking information on a rape that occurred in the North Side on the evening of August 22, 2002. The female victim was walking home near the Millvale Hardees restaurant around 9:00 PM when the suspect drove by, stopped and offered the victim a ride home. The victim states she knows the suspect as Larry and has seen him around the area for the last five years so she accepted the ride. The suspect drove past the victim's home without stopping and offered the victim a drink from a bottle in a paper bag. The victim refused the drink and the suspect then threatened to "drink or else". The victim took a drink and immediately became dizzy and dazed from the contents. The suspect then drove to what investigators believe was the park area around the Sue Murray swimming pool on Cedar Avenue in the North Side, pulled the victim from the car and sexually assaulted her. The suspect threatened to kill the victim if she called police and left the area. Investigators have developed a composite sketch of the suspect. He's a white male in his 30's, approx. 5'9"s with a medium build, pale complexion and long shoulder length frizzy hair. He may also be known by the nickname of "MOE". A witness seeing the suspect's vehicle described it as an older dark green Toyota Corolla with the paint peeling from the hood of the vehicle. Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers and investigators of the Homicide Squad are seeking information on an unsolved double-homicide from 2001. The victims, 32 year old Jewel UPSHER and 24 year old Dion BRAY were both shot and killed on August 2nd, 2001. Upsher, Bray and two other males; 24 year old Steven Brown and 25 year old Pharaoh Watson were traveling in a vehicle that was being driven by Upsher. They had just left the Dynasty Bar located on Centre Avenue and were traveling towards the Garfield area. While stopped on S. Atlantic Avenue at the intersection with Penn Avenue a vehicle pulled alongside their vehicle and began shooting at the victims. Upsher, Bray and Brown were all struck by the gunfire. Seeing that Upsher and Bray were critically wounded, Watson drove the vehicle to West Penn Hospital. Both Upsher and Bray died a short time later from multiple gunshot wounds. Several witnesses reported hearing the gunshots and seeing a red or maroon colored Camaro or Firebird speeding from the scene of the shooting. Investigators believe one of the victims was involved in a slight altercation at the bar with someone who then followed their vehicle and opened fire on the victims as they were stopped at the red light. Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers and Robbery Squad Investigators are seeking information on the June 10, 2002 home invasion of a Stanton Heights woman. The 27-year-old victim states she went outside of her Schenley Manor home at 4:30 PM and walked to the intersection of Coleridge Street. While there an unknown male yelled to the woman to "come here". The victim ignored the man and walked away causing the man to curse and swear at her as she was walking away. The victim returned home and at approx. 5:45 PM was talking on the phone when that same man and another unknown male burst into her home through the front door and accosted her. The victim states the first male was armed with an older looking cowboy-type revolver that had a long barrel. The armed intruder grabbed the victim's phone, pulled the battery out and threw it to the floor. The intruder then struck the victim in the face with the gun, grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the floor. The victim screamed and the intruder said, "Shut up or I'll kill you". She was then dragged into another room by her hair and tied up with a belt. Both intruders then proceeded to the second floor and as they were ransacking the second floor the victim was able to free herself and flee to a neighbor's house. Responding Zone 5 units canvassed the area and spoke with a nearby resident who saw the two suspects run from the victim's home, get into a black 4-door Jeep and drive away. The second suspect is described as a BM in his 20's, 6' tall with a very dark complexion. Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers and Homicide Investigators are seeking information on the April 22, 2002 murder of a North Side man while he was in the Northview Heights area. Police and paramedics responded to the scene of a single vehicle accident in the 600 block of Mt. Pleasant Road. The vehicle, a dark blue1987 Buick LeSabre, had crashed into a brick wall causing extensive front-end damage to the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was alone and unconscious behind the wheel. When the medics and first-responding firefighters removed the driver from the vehicle, it was discovered the driver had been shot as well. The driver/victim was identified as 39-year-old JOSEPH "MARK" PARKS. Parks was transported to the hospital where he died later that day. Joseph Parks who was better known as Mark Parks was a jitney-driver in the Northside and a known drug user. Detectives are uncertain if the victim was on a jitney run, trying to buy drugs or was the victim of a robbery when he was shot. Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers and investigators of the Homicide Squad are seeking information on an unsolved murder from 1997. The victim, SANDRA MORGAN, was 26 years old at the time of her murder. The incident occurred sometime between the morning hours of September 23rd, which was the last contact the victim had with anyone known to investigators and the evening of September 24th when the crime and the victim's body were discovered in her apartment located at 5800 Stanton Avenue. Police were led to that discovery by the victim's boyfriend, who had been unable to contact the victim for a day and a half and knowing she had experienced recent health problems was concerned for her well-being. Responding police units entered the victim's apartment around 9:00 PM and found her face down on her bed, dead from multiple stab wounds. The coroners office believes the victim had been dead for several hours prior to her discovery putting the time of death as between 7:30 AM Tuesday morning and mid-day on Wednesday September 24th. The victim was a dancer at the Bare Elegance Night Club located in the Strip District and investigators have interviewed dozens of persons regarding the case but have been unable to develop that information and charge anyone with the murder. The teller hesitated in disbelief and the suspect again motioned towards his hand in his coat pocket and said, "hurry up." The victim, 22-year-old ORLANDO "Landy" GREENE was shot and killed in the 6000 block of Broad Street near the intersection with North Highland Avenue. The shooting occurred just prior to 8:30 PM. Greene had just left Walsh's Bar and became engaged in a confrontation with at least one unidentified male. Witnesses state that Greene was pistol-whipped and then shot by this unknown male who then fled the area. Police and paramedics responded to find the victim lying face down in the street. He had been shot and appeared to have been beaten around the face. The victim, 21-year-old JAIME DANIELS was shot and killed while driving across the Smithfield Street Bridge. The shooting occurred around 3:30 AM after Daniels and his friend, Michael Cheatom, left the SLP Club, which is a private after-hours nightclub, located downtown at 435 Wood Street. Jaime Daniels was driving the silver/gray 1992 Acura Legend, which was owned by Michael Cheatom, who was the passenger of the vehicle at the time of the shooting. Investigators are uncertain of the motive of the shooting and don't know if Daniels, Cheatom or both men were the targets of the gunman. Detectives have not located any additional witnesses other than Cheatom, who was not hit by any of the bullets that struck the car. There were a number of shell casings recovered on the bridge and it appears the weapon used was an assault rifle. December 2, 2002 Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000.00 that leads to the arrest of a yet unidentified homicide suspect. The Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar are seeking the identity and/or information concerning the mother of an abandoned baby, discovered at a Clinton County Landfill. On November 5, 2002 - at 11:00 a.m., a driver for a Clinton County municipal waste disposal company entered the Clinton County Landfill in Wayne Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. The drive was in the process of dumping a refrigerator at the landfill and exited his disposal truck to obtain the serial number from the appliance. The driver then discovered the body of a nude infant lying in the mud adjacent to a pile of garbage. State Police and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene. The infant was found to be deceased. The scene was secured and searched for evidence. The infant was covered in mud and blood and the race could not be determined. On November 12, 2002 - Forensic Pathologist Wayne K. Ross conducted an autopsy on the infant. His examination determined that the infant was born alive and died of asphyxiation. It is unknown if the infant was asphyxiated by a parent(s) or when placed in the trash bag for disposal. Doctor Ross ruled the death a "Homicide." There was severe trauma to the infant's body and the skull exhibits signs of a severe crush type injury. The infant was a white male and was a full term baby (38-40 weeks). The infant weighed 9.1 pounds and was 22 inches in length. The Clinton County Coroner, Donald G. Walker, named the infant "Aaron." The baby was buried on November 19, 2002 at the Rest Haven Memorial Park in Woolrich, Pennsylvania.
